Affordable Portables is a Chicago family-owned independent furniture retailer. We have 1 store and 1 warehouse outlet and have been open in Chicago since 1977.

Our business philosophy is to limit costs so we can pass along the best prices to you.
Have you ever gone to a store, and you can just tell the employees are not really looking out for you? We have too. Our staff does not work on commission. That means there is no pressure to buy. We want you to relax and find what works best for you.

We would like to think we have some of the most knowledgeable staff that can answer your questions and help you find the right furniture at the best price.

We offer delivery and set up in the greater Chicago area. We can deliver it to your curbside or bring it right into the room.

We can also ship to the Lower 48 states. Shipping depends on the item’s weight, size, and destination. That’s why we chose not to include the cost of shipping in the price. We will work with you to get the best possible freight delivery rate.

We are happy to have your furniture transferred at your request so you can just pick it up at one of our 2 locations if you prefer.

We do not ever sell or disclose your profile information to anyone else for marketing purposes.
